Being able to purchase fish online opens up a completely new world for most hobbyists, especially those in more rural areas and areas that don't have many options in terms of fish stores.
We ship anywhere in the continental U.S. as well as Hawaii (must have proper permit) and Puerto Rico.
We pack all of our tropical fish with heat packs when average temperatures in the U.S. are above 75, and we ship with ice packs for cold water species when average temperatures in the U.S. are below 65.
We use FedEx, UPS, DHL, and USPS with options of overnight, 2-Day express, or Ground (if the package is guaranteed within reasonable time.)
We also ship airport cargo through SouthWest, Delta, and United. Airport cargo shipping is one of the best ways to receive fish, because they spend less than 12 hours being boxed up in most cases, and are often same-day shipments.
DOA= Dead On Arrival
YOU MUST BE THERE TO RECEIVE YOUR FISH AT THE FIRST DELIVERY ATTEMPT! DO NOT LET YOUR BOX SIT OUTSIDE DURING EXTREME LOW OR EXTREME HIGH TEMPERATURES! We will send tracking information to your email when your shipping label is created. Check the tracking information as much as possible until your box is delivered.
WE OFFER LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE ON OVERNIGHT PRIORITY EPRESS, 2-DAY EXPRESS, AND AIRPORT CARGO SHIPMENTS!
To submit a DOA claim, please send us an email containing 3 (three) clear photos of any deceased fish in their original and UNOPENED BAG. Pictures of the entire bag are required. Video and other additional proof of DOA may be requested. Pictures/videos must be sent within 1 (one) hour of delivery/pickup for any DOA claim to be valid. Any DOA that meets our requirements will be refunded, or a credit will be applied to your next order.
WE OFFER LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE ON GROUND SHIPMENTS For packages that are guaranteed to be delivered within 2 days for wild caught fish, and within 3 days for captive raised fish.
Ground shipments are available when average temperatures in the country are above 40. Any ground shipment that arrives later than its guaranteed delivery time automatically void DOA Guarantee.
We are not responsible for any carrier delays, losses, damages, or weather conditions preventing delivery. During extreme temperature lows or highs, or during extreme weather conditions (hurricanes, tornados, basketball sized hail, etc.) your request for shipping is entirely at your own risk, and we have the right to deny or hold any shipment until further notice.
Remember that you can always request for your package to be held at your local facility for pick up. This will ensure your box is held in a warm facility rather than driving around in a cold truck all day long, and you will be able to pick up your fish as soon as your facility opens.
We encourage putting all new fish into a QT (quarantine) tank for 2 weeks before adding them to your display tank, as it is best to keep an eye on new fish for a little while before introducing them to your main tank. If you would like recommendations on how to QT your new fish, feel free to message us.
We pride ourselves on our customer service, so please reach out to us with any questions or concerns and we will assist you the best we can. Thank you for reading. Happy fish keeping!
OUT OF STATE CUSTOMERS:
Live aquatic animals are very sensitive creatures. The slightest change can stress them out enough to kill them. This may happen because of a difference in PH, temperature swings, water parameters, acclimation process, and many other reasons. Shipping fish from our store to your home is a great way for you to get access to many species of fish you may not be able to find in your area. However, the fact that we are not able to test your water, see the body of the fish in person, or examine the situation to see why the fish may have died, removes our ability to guarantee they will survive in the conditions of your aquarium. For these reasons, once the fish are released into your aquarium, they are no longer guaranteed. We do pride ourselves on our customer service and will work with you in any way we can, so please message us if anything happens to your fish after you receive it. We will do our best to accommodate you.
We guarantee the life of our fish for 48 hours, with the exception of some sensitive species. Please inquire within for details.
If a fish dies or struggles in your aquarium after you bring it home, please notify us immediately. Even if we do not respond right away, we will at least have a time stamp on when you started having issues or if a death occurred. If you want to submit a claim, please send us clear photos of the deceased fish as soon as you find it, both inside the tank and outside of the tank. We will also require you to bring us a water sample from your aquarium, as well as the body of the fish in a separate bag or container.
We do not replace fish that were placed in poor water quality, fish that have suffered aggression by other tank mates, fish that were not acclimated properly, or if we advised the customer on precautions which were disregarded.
